Job description

The Risk Mitigation Consultant assists the Director of Risk Management with the development and implementation of risk management services and programs. He/she will assist clients assess their risk and develop a plan to minimize their exposure to loss.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides telephonic consultation regarding risk management inquiries and questions

  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management projects as assigned

  • Conducts clinical risk assessments

  • Produce tools and educational materials (e.g., modules, white papers, e-publications, webinars, and new best practices)Review and revise as needed current firm risk management tools and products (e.g., HUD Risk Assessment Agreement)Assist the technical team with questions regarding consultant report writing

  • Prepare custom setup letters, document lists, and report writing templates relating to on-site and desk-based services.

  • Assist in the reviews of provider responses to the risk assessment recommendations

  • Conduct on-location risk assessments and desk-based services

  • Perform other duties as assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare environment

  • Above average knowledge of appropriate software - Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Friendly, well organized and enjoys interacting with people.

  • Strong planning, organizational, and follow-up skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner consistently.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's degree

  • At least five (5) years' experience risk management

  • Experience with risk management tools/techniques

The starting pay for this position is $160,000 annually.
