Job description

At Apple, we strive daily to create products that enhance people's lives. The Audio Software EPM team is currently seeking an experienced manager to lead a team of project managers. These project managers will be responsible for driving the delivery of innovative, high-performance Audio developer frameworks and OS features for our users. Apple devices' Core Audio software stack is intricate and provides a comprehensive feature set for routing audio through the system and integrating various hardware components.
Description
As the Manager of this team, you'll be responsible for hiring, leading, coaching, inspiring, and nurturing an existing team that provides program management support for Core Audio projects. These projects aim to enhance our Audio developer APIs and customer features for Apple customers. In collaboration with the Senior Manager of Core Audio and other Engineering Managers, you'll work with teams across various departments, including Software Engineering, AIML, Apple Services Engineering, Acoustics, and HW, to develop and execute on a Software and Hardware roadmap and improve our project delivery processes at Apple.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in driving large scale program building machine learning powered products
5+ years of experience delivering customer-facing features or projects from concept through delivery
2+ years of managing project managers, as well as experience in managing people managers
Excellent program management skills including program structuring and managing multiple work streams interdependently
Preferred Qualifications
Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
Strong ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly, manage comprehensive yet succinct project status update to all levels of audience, both verbally and in written forms
Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities required to forge a path to success
Experience with leading and improving existing and developing new engineering processes at scale
Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, or related field and equivalent experience
