Job description

The Team Lead, Program Management is responsible for leadingand developing a team of Program Managers while overseeing the successfulexecution of customer programs throughout the product lifecycle. As a hands-onleader, this role manages key programs directly and ensures that customerrequirements, project milestones, quality objectives, and financial targets areachieved. Working within the Entry and Authorization Systems Business Unit, theTeam Lead serves as the primary point of coordination across cross-functionalteams, guiding programs from product development through launch, seriesproduction, and end-of-life.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Program Managers, ensuring consistent application of program management best practices and internal development procedures
  • Manage assigned customer programs and provide oversight for all programs within the team portfolio
  • Ensure programs are executed in accordance with established project plans, customer requirements, quality standards, timing commitments, and financial objectives
  • Review and monitor program budgets, costs, and financial performance, ensuring alignment with approved targets throughout the program lifecycle
  • Support Program Managers in developing project plans, tracking progress, resolving issues, and implementing corrective actions when required
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Lead the resolution of program challenges, escalations, and cross-functional issues that may impact project deliverables
  • Coordinate ongoing reviews of program performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvements, and process optimization
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Sales, and other functional teams
  • Partner with internal leadership and customer management teams to plan, direct, and control program activities
  • Ensure the overall integrity, quality, and successful delivery of all assigned programs
  • Prepare and present program status updates, key performance metrics, and issue escalation reports to leadership as required
  • Support business development and sales activities by providing program management expertise during customer quotations, RFQs, and new business pursuits
  • Support sales team in new business RFQ's
  • Member of regional Program Management Excellence Team ensuring compliance, robust gate reviews and supporting initiatives to improve


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in project or program/project management with experience serving as a leader with direct reports
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience within the automotive industry preferably with complex vehicle electronic / software systems
  • Proficiency with project management software, ideally Cim-dB
  • Advance computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Understanding of budgetary control and resource allocation procedures
  • Ability to create a sense of community amongst members of the program management team and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to exercise coaching skills to ensure Program Managers are properly managing the customer, motivating the internal team, and supporting them to resolve conflicts in a win/win fashion
  • Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
