Position Summary:

The Program Manager I is responsible for coordinating post sales activities of the organization and ensuring projects and programs that meet the customer's requirements are delivered on time and in budget. The goal is to efficiently design and manufacture components and systems that are safe, innovative, and of high quality. The Program Manager will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that the expectations of the Company's customers are exceeded by performing the following:


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily execution of the programs within contractual requirements to assure that the project cost, schedule, and technical performance goals are met.
  • Lead the daily stand-up meeting for assigned programs, ensuring internal stakeholders understand the schedule and budget for assigned activities.
  • Assist in building and maintaining the customer relationship. Manage the program to meet customer requirements and keep the customer appraised of progress.
  • Create and maintain a project milestone schedule based on customer, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and sub-contractor inputs.
  • Schedule, assign, and support the creation, review and delivery of all contract data requirements lists (CDRLs) deliverables as defined by the contract.
  • Assist with the management of subcontractors and the supply chain as needed.
  • Analyze, evaluate, monitor, and overcome program risks.
  • Monitor project performance utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM), communicate status of schedule, budget, compliance, and risk, to all stakeholders during weekly Program Management Review (PMR).
  • Early communication to leadership and stakeholders of potential failures to meet program schedule, budget, or compliance.
  • Creation and implementation of new Program Management processes.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Mentor in the position, trains others on correct use of tools and processes.
  • Understand and comply with safety policies, ensure self and others in the area are wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Preferably in Business or Engineering)
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or other Project Management software
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3-5 years of program management experience in the aerospace field is required.
  • Minimum three (3) years related program management experience in manufacturing environment required.

Work Environment Requirements:

  • Full-Time Position.
  • Office, warehouse, and manufacturing environment.
  • International and domestic travel in support of programs, implementations, or ongoing service may be required.
