Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sr. Manager, Business Engagement and Commercial Categories, this hybrid position will be located in New Brunswick, NJ (USA). Alternate Hybrid locations maybe considered at Raritan, NJ (USA); West Chester, PA (USA); Palm Beach Gardens, FL (USA); Raynham, MA (USA); Warsaw, IN (USA).

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

The Senior Manageris responsible forleading the procurement strategy for theCommercial Category. They will deliver cost efficiency, quality, innovation, and sustainability outcomes that enable DPS's business growth. Applying their category subject matterexpertise, they will partner closely with key business partners to define sourcing strategies, shape the supply base, and drive supplier relationships.

As a business engagement leader (BEL)works directly withDPSbusiness leadership andkey partners to align Procurement activities.Responsible for leading critical procurement processes and projects.This role requires engaging with business partners and stakeholders to define procurement activities with theorganization'sobjectives. The individual will also provide sourcing, supplier relationship management, projectmanagementand leadership.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree isrequired, an MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred

  • A minimum of 8 years of working experience in procurement or a related discipline isrequired

  • Experience in Procurement and/or Category Management. Experience developing category strategies ormultiyearsourcing roadmaps.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of cost drivers, market dynamics, and risktradeoffs.

  • Experiencein sourcing strategy, supplier management,competitivebiddingand complex contract negotiation

  • Proficiencyin Excel, with strong advanced analytics skills to analyze insights, spend, or supplier performance evaluation.

  • Familiarity with digital and AI procurement tools

  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence business partners.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex,crossfunctionalsourcing initiatives/projects.

  • Leadership, communication, influencing, and collaboration skills arerequired

  • Travel up to 10% domestic & international may berequired

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
