Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, warehousing and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products | Controls the commercial impact of the complete range of activities from receiving, locating and dispatching, sourcing, purchasing and optimizing inventory levels | Administers an effective system that meets the organization's inventory control needs through efficient transportation of raw materials, component parts and/or finished goods

  • Supervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members. Does not typically perform the work supervised
  • Must have any type of one direct report or more
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
  • Problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager
  • Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment

  • Supervises the organization's logistics operations to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination.
  • Supports the overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations.
  • Oversees daily operations for inventory, distribution, transportation, or other processes that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors teams and vendors' adherence to service level targets.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods.
  • Utilizes systems to input and obtain workflow status and information and to identify problems in operations.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers.

      • The incumbent will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving equipment, and performing other physically demanding tasks in addition to standard management functions.
      • The position requires forklift and SkyTrak certification, or a willingness to obtain these certifications to provide coverage as needed.

      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

      • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
      • Discipline/Major: Business or relevant degree preferred
      • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Delivery Management. Inventory Management. Logistics Management. Operations Management. Vendor Management. Performance Metrics. Leadership Skills.

      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
      • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
      • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
      • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
      • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
      • May be requested to work a different shift.
      • This position is Safety-Sensitive.

      Up to 25% travel likely.
