Aspirus Health in WAUSAU, WI is seeking a SVP- PRESIDENT- REGIONAL MARKETS to join our REGIONAL MARKETS team!
The Senior Vice President, President Regional Markets reports to the SVP of Acute Care Services for the system and provides executive leadership for the Hospital Business Units within the MI & WI Markets at Aspirus, Inc. Responsible for the areas of operational effectiveness, strategic planning, integration, communications, and public relations.
The position represents the Regions to a wide range of internal and external audiences. The position organizes and directs the activities associated with these functions in such a way as to optimize current operations, and to position the organization(s) for future success.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of hospital and health system management and policy administration, as well as development and implementation of budgets, strategies and standards normally acquired through completion of an accredited Masters of Hospital/Health Services Administration Program or MBA.
  • Minimum of ten years of progressive healthcare management or administrative experience with a track record of achieving outcomes within an Integrated Healthcare System that includes broad exposure to many facets of operations and strategic planning.
  • Has knowledge or experience in rural markets with Critical Access Hospitals.
  • Retains membership in the American College of Healthcare Executives preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and creative ability to make good decisions, resolve problems, and provide direction.
  • Has experience or adaptability to work in a high-paced, structured, and rigorous environment.
  • Has experience and is comfortable, and proficient working in a matrix management structure.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and the ability to reach decisions even in the face of ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Displays good organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently.
  • Demonstrates effective interaction and communication with executive management and boards.
  • Participates actively in relevant professional organizations, educational activities and self-development to enhance professional growth.
