Job description

In the position of Director of Operations, your primary mandate will be to oversee the overall management of activities for the Montréal production site, including planning, production, quality, and operational efficiency. More precisely, you will have to:
 
  • Participate in the development of operational strategic plans with senior management.
  • Supervise and coach the team while upholding Excelpro’s values.
  • Coordinate the human, financial, and technical resources required to achieve objectives.
  • Develop and manage the budget, ensuring efficient use of financial resources.
  • Monitor results rigorously and apply corrective measures as needed.
  • Establish productivity standards and ensure their implementation.
  • Oversee quality control, identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to ensure certification audits for clients and suppliers.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with other departments, including senior management, sales, finance, HR, and IT, to ensure alignment of objectives and activities.
  • Promote professional development for employees under your responsibility.
  • Demonstrate mobilizing, participative, rigorous, and exemplary leadership at all times.
  • Plan training and succession in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Prepare required reports for the accounting department and senior management.
  • Maintain a pleasant and stimulating work environment for team members.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Perform any other related tasks as required.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Hold a college diploma in administration, management, or any other relevant field.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing sector (an asset).
