Summary

This position is responsible for managing the Project Management Team. They will communicate and coordinate the initial Scope of Work with PD Account Teams by supporting and assigning Project Manager(s) and leads the Project Management Team by example and strengthens the existing processes daily. The Manager of Production demonstrates a commitment to the PD core values of integrity, passion, possibility and the ability to work at the speed of retail.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Daily management of Project Management Team, staffing, expectations, output and improvements
  • Facilitates the Scope of Work expectation(s) with the sales team to develop the deliverable(s) and create timelines, allowing for the assignment of a Project Manager
  • Works closely with the Department managers and leads to maintain clear and concise direction for each project
  • Develops continuous improvement plans with the project managers by way of Mid-Year and Year-End Reviews/Goal creation and measures performance based on metrics aligning with company goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment
  • Follows all safety and workplace policies

Competencies and Skills

  • Experience with vendor relationships, required execution, statements of work and terms
  • Experienced in design intent, engineering, material or production planning, supply chain planning, production control, inventory or warehouse management
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to effectively interface with production, customer service, and management with the ability to prioritize work activities based on the needs of business
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self, and affect short term and some long-term business goals and excellent analytical, problem solving and facilitation skills
  • Ability to understand/interpret, analyze, and troubleshoot information related to production scheduling
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks along with excellent time management skills and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision or management
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Mac computers and the use of computer programs including yet not limited to Word, Excel, Adobe PDF as well as knowledge and practical application of MRP/ERP system(s)
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply our workplace values
  • Flexibilityto travel between multiple PD locations

Education/Certification

  • Bachelors degree in Communication, Business, Production Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Engineering

Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in Management/Supervisory duties, Business Communication and/or Project/Account Management

  • Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workday.
