Inventory Control Coordinator

Who we are looking for: 

We are searching for an Inventory Control Coordinator to be based out of our Dallas, TX manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Plant Director, this person will be responsible for managing raw material and finished goods inventory to meet distribution demands.  The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience managing an inventory control program.  Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.

What you’ll do:  

  • Administrate inventory cycle counts (daily/monthly/annually) and enter adjustments into system.  Develop and maintain SOPs for inventory control processes.  
  • Receive and issue finished goods into a computer database.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel utilizing inventory movement reports in JDE, actual receipts, physical counts and shipping packing slips to investigate discrepancies. 
  • Prepare cycle count reports and maintain spreadsheets to track reconciled vs. non reconciled cycle counts. Utilize the documentation to facilitate the cycle count process. 
  • Participate in physical inventory activities which includes creating cycle counts in JDE, communicating details with the shipping department, and processing inventory adjustments as necessary. 
  • Administrate plant raw materials end-of-month physical inventory, including performing cycle counts for reconciling variances in raw materials weekly as part of month end reporting in JDE. 
  • Manage raw material additives and resin purchases and inventories and serve as main point of contact for all material stock items, schedules deliveries for raw material purchases and ensure readily available supply of materials to meet production needs. 
  • Gather and enter data for the Recycled Usage report. 
  • Coordinate vendor communication regarding raw material deliveries. Analyze inventory data to ensure the plant does not run out of raw materials, resin, wood, gaskets, etc. 
  • Reconcile all daily and weekly cycle counts of finished goods based on the final determinations including any approved variances within percentage and dollar maximums.  
  • Perform inventory sub-ledger responsibilities including reconciling the Inventory Control subledger to the General Ledger to identify variances. 

                    What you’ll bring:    

                    • Minimum 5 years of inventory control experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
                    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, supply chain preferred; High school diploma required 
                    • Knowledge of Inventory Control software, i.e., JDE, Sage required 
                    • Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred 
                    • Basic skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook required 
                    • Ability to grasp and understand business concepts and issues 
                    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills 
                    • Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations 
                    • Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization

                    As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $47,520 - $65,340. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
