About the Role
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Portable Ready-Mix business and ensure company goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage overall financial performance, including revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve business performance and support profitable growth.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of plant operations, production, sales, dispatch, maintenance, quality, and fleet performance.
  • Partner with Sales to support pricing strategies, customer relationships, market growth, and business opportunities.
  • Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators and act when results are below expectations.
  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, control costs, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Ensure products and services meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Build, lead, and develop a strong team and establish clear performance expectations.
  • Partner with Human Resources on employee development, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, equipment, and resources are available to meet business needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
  • Evaluate market conditions and identify opportunities and risks that may impact the business.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding business performance, priorities, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.   • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Ready Mix, concrete production, construction materials, or a related industry, including significant leadership experience.
  • Experience leading multi-site operations and managing teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Ready-Mix operations, production, dispatch, quality, and logistics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial performance, budgets, and profitability.
  • Strong business and strategic planning skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, employees, and senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry and leadership experience may be considered.
