 POSITION SCOPE:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead BMG’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes. Please consider joining our team at one of our company locations – Beaverton, MI; Fremont, OH, or Knoxville, TN. If location is in Ohio or Tennessee, monthly travel will be required to our headquarters location in Beaverton, Michigan around monthly close activities and more frequent travel during budgeting season.

This role partners with executive leadership and operational teams to provide strategic financial insights that drive business performance and support long-term growth. This position focuses on operational cost drivers, manufacturing plant performance, product profitability, and capital investment analysis while building scalable financial planning processes across the organization/sites.

The ideal candidate is an analytical and strategic finance professional with a progressive career in FP&A or corporate finance in a manufacturing environment. They bring strong financial modeling and data analysis skills, along with experience using Hyperion or similar financial consolidation and planning tools. This individual can translate complex financial data into actionable insights and partners effectively with operations and leadership.

 KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead the company’s financial planning processes, including the annual operating plan, budgeting, and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  2. Develop and maintain long-term financial models and scenario analyses to support business growth, investments, and strategic initiatives.
  3. Monitor and analyze financial performance, including leading variance analysis and delivering actionable insights to improve revenue, margins, and cost structure.
  4. Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI tracking for senior leadership and plant operations.
  5. Partner with plant leadership, operations, and supply chain teams to analyze manufacturing performance, including cost drivers such as labor, materials, overhead, and inventory.
  6. Lead product costing, profitability analysis, and pricing strategy support to drive margin improvement.
  7. Evaluate capital expenditures, automation initiatives, and operational improvement projects, including ROI and payback analysis.
  8. Provide financial modeling and analytical support for strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, new products, and market expansion.
  9. Enhance FP&A processes, systems, and reporting tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, including ERP and business intelligence solutions.
  10. Foster cross-functional collaboration and a data-driven culture.

 EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field required; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
  2. 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis.
  3. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred.
  4. Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
  5. Advanced Excel and financial systems experience, including ERP platforms and Hyperion.
  6. Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferred.
  7. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  8. Ability to travel for role 10-20% of the time if not located at headquarters.
  9. A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work in the United States on a permanent basis. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
