Position Purpose:
The Manager of Data Analytics, Labor, will lead and develop a team of associates responsible for driving clarity in labor-related strategy and execution and creating data products to empower our store associates. This role will drive effective data-driven insights by leveraging advanced analytics, modeling, data visualization, and generative-AI empowered development. This position collaborates cross functionally within Store Operations, HR, Field Leadership, Finance and other areas, and is responsible for supporting the effective utilization of our phenomenal human capital and largest controllable expense within Home Depot.
Key Responsibilities:
  • 40% - Create a strategic vision for future labor usage, models and forecasting - Provide strategic support for enterprise goals and objectives to ensure solutions that improve labor usage. Lead, develop and direct work for a team of Analysts and Sr. Analysts, providing clear direction and support for team members to navigate ambiguity while ensuring analytical output and process improvement. Drive strategic vision for understanding future labor usage and analytical capabilities. Support Enterprise strategic goals, objectives, and projects.
  • 20% - Ensure better education of business impacts and performance drivers - Support end users and business partners with problem resolution and insight into business trends. Design, develop and implement analytical tools that support data visualization, enhanced reporting and improved decision making.
  • 40% - Improve Labor and business decisions that drive productivity in stores - Identify new and different ways of providing analytical output and process improvements. Identify innovative ways of providing analytical support to client group and leaders.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • This Position typically reports to the Sr Manager of Data Analytics
  • This Position has up to 3-5 Direct Reports

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead data professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to drive data-backed impact
  • Ability to develop and apply advanced analytical/statistical techniques
  • Ability to draw accurate conclusions for ambiguous questions from large datasets
  • Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise SQL, Tableau, Python, and GenAI
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3 years of advanced analytics experience in a related area.
