Job description

JOb Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting the department with basic commercial maintenance and repair projects throughout Mitsukoshi USA, Inc. facilities. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of preventative maintenance programs, conduct planned and unplanned equipment repairs, and are responsible for the operational reliability of equipment, rolling stock, and the overall facility.

 

 

Essential job Functions:

  • Support the Facilities Manager in the operation of the Maintenance Department by managing the daily schedules and task.
  • Assists and arrange vendor visits and repairs per Facility Manager directives.
  • Independently processes list of repair requests and SQS (Show Quality Standard) upkeeps.
  • Operates company vehicles, pallet jacks, and other equipment and understands correct load limits & movement procedures.
  • Monitor the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment
  • Organizes and maintains designated backstage and onstage areas.
  • Help ensure continuous improvement by evaluating processes and improving operational safety, efficiency and longer life of equipment/facility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and follows company handbook and procedures.
  • Interpretation of blueprints, manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents
  • Comply with relevant safety regulations and policies in the execution of all job tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Works as a part of the team to complete requested repairs and maintaining all equipment in a timely manner, along with delegation and follow-up on the completion of tasks
  • Initiates and assists inspection, troubleshooting, and reporting on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
  • Assists in daily maintenance and organization of Maintenance room and storage areas.
  • Efficiently and safely performs daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly preventative maintenance as directed by management.
  •  Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company Team Members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum Team Member morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Must be friendly and able to smile a lot while working days, nights and/or weekends as required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to clearly communicate with Guests and other Team Members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

qualifications:

·       High school diploma or equivalent

·       Three (3) years of experience in facility maintenance to include one (1) years in a supervisory capacity.

·       Excellent communication, time management and organization skills

·       Technical, electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC skills preferred, but not required.

·       Required to work Saturday or Sunday. Possible holidays

Requirement:

·       Must lift or move up to 40 lbs.

·       Be able to work days, nights, overnights, and/or weekends as required.

·       Be able to work off an extension ladder.

·       Ability to use a variety of tools from hammers, wrenches, hand tools and more.

·       Troubleshooting skills to be able to follow a problem to the source and solve the issue.

·       Work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions.

·       Read and write handwritten notes.

·       Moving about the facility, sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, turning, reaching, climbing and balancing.
