Senior Manager of Events and Training Operations
Reports to: Senior Director of Partner and Community Engagement
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Events and Training Operations provides ongoing management of INCLUDEnyc's workshop scheduling and event planning. They develop and implement systems and processes to ensure the flexible allocation of resources in response to changing program and service needs.
The Senior Manager of Events and Training Operations is a key member of INCLUDEnyc's program operations team, ensuring that events and training operations are high-quality and meet community needs and grant/contract requirements. They collaborate closely with Programs, partner organizations, and vendors to ensure coordinated service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Training and Events
  • Lead event planning for INCLUDEnyc's annual events in collaboration with cross-departmental staff
  • Oversee the coordination of in-person, hybrid, and virtual workshops and trainings.
  • Oversee scheduling and staffing of external community outreach events
  • Ensure timely, accurate event details and communications with workshop host partners, including schools, organizations, and hospitals.
  • Collaborate across the organization to ensure that all training materials and information resources for workshops, outreach, and events are accurate, up to date, and reflect the interests and needs of families and the requirements of funders
  • Collaborate on the production of webinars, videos, paper, and digital information and training resources

Community Outreach and Collaboration
  • Build and maintain community training and referral partnerships that are robust and responsive
  • Maintain close collegial relationships with community partners
  • Participate in key federal, state, and community partnerships and activities to connect with people and ideas that support the organization's work with families
  • Organizes and assists in the planning of on- and off-site community-based events and trainings around New York City by leading and attending meetings, keeping calendars up-to-date and accurate, and coordinating materials

Team Management
  • Supervise up to two (2) full-time staff on the Operations team, ensuring responsive and superior customer service
  • Conduct and participate in org-wide and departmental meetings to maximize collaborative problem-solving;
  • In partnership with the Senior Director of Partner and Community Engagement, evaluate staff performance and provide support for continuing improvement

Salary Senior Manager of Events and Training Operations
$85,000 - $90,000
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience required; Master's Degree in social work, education, vocational rehabilitation, public health, public administration, or other relevant degree preferred
  • At least 3 years in a management or supervisory role in an education or human service setting preferred
  • Strategic thinker; ability to collect and use data to inform program development and delivery
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong project and event management skills from planning to implementation
  • Flexibility in the face of ambiguity or change
  • Collaborative spirit; ability to work across organizational functions to ensure outcomes
  • Entrepreneurial and independent worker; ability to take on a leadership role
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to INCLUDEnyc's mission of building positive outcomes for youth and young adults with disabilities
  • Adheres to the organizational-wide policy of a hybrid schedule with at least 2 days in person, in office per week and additional days on an as-needed basis
