Job Responsibilities

The Director of Business Development is responsible for ensuring excellence customer experiences and all services provided to Solutions Management Group clients are executed to the SMG standard. Works with new and existing clients to create a shared vision, inspire collaboration, and drive change.

They will be responsible for managing multiple large projects and discovering potential obstacles. This position will work with all members of the company to create solutions to fit customer needs.

In addition, they are responsible for developing the sales goals, assisting with existing and prospective clients through SMG's proprietary assessment and sales cycle, and oversee the proposals and contracts of new and existing clients. This role also has the responsibility of maintaining client satisfaction on new accounts.

Job Functions
  • Provides excellent customer service to all Solutions Management Group staff and clients
  • Fosters a company culture that cultivates a high level of customer service
  • Participates in the hiring/training, developing for Business Development employees
  • Conducts performance reviews for Business Development employees
  • Acts as a key partner for the decision making/strategic planning for the Executive Leadership team
  • Participates as a primary resource in the training/developing of all Solutions Management employees
  • Provides Departments with tools and resources to learn new and expand their skills
  • Collaborates with top client's C-suite to ensure their needs are met
  • Solves problems for planned and unplanned situations
  • Oversees the life cycle management of technology equipment for SMG clients'
  • Develops and maintains a strong relationship with our client's decision maker
  • Ensures sound judgement with multiple operation budgets to maintain budgets expenses and manage profitable business units
  • Advises on order fulfillment, services provided to SMG clients, vendor relationships, and new client proposals
  • Builds vision, goals, and execution plan for business development team, in conjunction with the President
  • Assists with and approves proposals and contract for new and existing SMG clients
  • Completes forecasts on a regular basis for staff and President
  • Collaborates with Client Relations and Marketing Manager to improve marketing materials and expand the company's marketing presence in all territories
  • Stays on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth
  • Makes critical decisions based on both the client and SMG
Job Qualifications
