Position: Secondary Social Studies Teacher / Head Baseball Coach - Northside ISD
Northside ISD is a small rural 1A district located just 5 miles north of Vernon on the Oklahoma border, serving approximately 235 students. The district offers a four-day school week (Monday Thursday), competitive pay, and is currently in its TIA application year, with plans to provide teacher designations beginning in the 2027 2028 school year.
Northside ISD is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to serve as a Secondary Social Studies Teacher and Head Baseball Coach. The ideal candidate will provide engaging, student-centered instruction in social studies while building a competitive and character-driven baseball program.
Responsibilities include:
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in secondary social studies courses
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that supports student growth and achievement
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the baseball program, including planning, practices, and game strategy
  • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic accountability among student-athletes
  • Collaborate with staff, administration, and community stakeholders

Qualifications:
  • Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain) in Social Studies
  • Coaching experience preferred, with strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required or ability to obtain
  • Commitment to student success both academically and athletically
