Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician (Non-Operative Orthopedics Focus) - Lewes, DE

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time (On-site)

Setting: Outpatient Private Practice

Schedule Options: Mon-Thurs (8am - 4:30pm)

  • Optional flexible weekend and after-hours shifts (not required)

  • Telehealth half-day on Fridays

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician with Sports Medicine fellowship training to join a modern, technology-driven outpatient practice. This role focuses on non-surgical orthopedic care, including the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and chronic joint disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions

  • Provide non-operative orthopedic care, including:

  • Joint and soft tissue injections (corticosteroid, viscosupplementation, PRP if applicable)

  • Ultrasound-guided procedures (preferred)

  • Develop personalized rehabilitation and return-to-activity plans

  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and primary care providers

  • Manage a patient panel with an average of ~16 patients per day

  • Participate in telehealth services


Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Sports Medicine Fellowship

  • Active or eligible Delaware medical license & DEA registration

  • Open To: New graduates & Physicians completing fellowship training soon
