Job Title: Nurse Manager, Surgical Services (RN)
Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Type: Full-Time/ Permanent
Shift & Schedule: Days (Rotating Weekends)
Pay: $100,000 - $150,000 per Year (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Nurse Manager, Surgical Services (RN) for an exciting Local job in Fredericksburg, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily clinical operations of the Operating Room (OR) and Central Sterile Room (CSR).

  • Maintain the smooth and efficient flow of the daily surgical schedule.

  • Oversee monthly staff scheduling to ensure safe staffing levels and maximize productivity.

  • Monitor staffing utilization and premium labor usage.

  • Manage departmental resources, supply utilization, inventory, and equipment operations.

  • Analyze and report statistical and operational data for perioperative services.

  • Lead performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Maintain 24-hour accountability for safety, clinical quality, and risk management practices.

  • Support staffing, performance evaluations, employee engagement, and professional development initiatives.

  • Foster a collaborative, patient-centered culture across surgical services.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

  • Active Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association or CPR through the American Red Cross.

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) / Surgical Services experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's Degree.

  • Experience as an OR Charge Nurse, Team Lead, Clinical Coordinator, or Supervisor.

  • Leadership experience with direct reports.

  • Strong perioperative services, staffing, and operational management experience.

  • Experience leading quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives.

  • Solid charge nurse or supervisory experience in lieu of formal management experience.
