Job Description:

As a Software Engineer forAlternative Asset ManagementTechnology(AAMT), you will develop and manage innovative technologies for our Asset Management teams.You will design, build, test, deploy, and support functionality across a variety of stacks and platformsas well asoperateas amentorto other technologiststodo the same.

Through partnering with business stakeholders,you'lldrive business value while also producing elegant engineering solutions. Internal applications are built using a highly scalable serverless and/or microservice architecture that is deployed via Terraform into AWS. Key technologies in this framework include React, Typescript, Next.js, Python, C#, SQL, Docker,Terraformand AWS.

You will be expected to take ownership of projects and find gaps in design with Blackstone business analysts. You will tackle a variety of problems from automating business processesandscaling outinfrastructure to promoting reusable components across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Use cloud native technologies and services to build scalable and secure applications

  • Build, support, and integrate web applications, microservices, and data pipelines on a variety of platforms

  • Adopt an inner-source approach and culture to collaborate more effectively

  • Use modern software development methodologies and tools like JIRA to manage and deliver projects

  • Follow scalable & secure architectural practices to build fault-tolerant distributed systems

  • Write automated unit, integration, and deployment tests

  • Use Terraform to create and update infrastructure

  • Design data models andpersistdatatoSnowflake,DynamoDB, and SQL databases.

  • Identifyopportunities to automate away repetitive tasks

  • Lead technical design and code reviews to drive projects towards the best results

  • Promote, implement, and evolve development best practices

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering positions

  • Desire to learn and adapt tonew technologies

  • Self-starting, entrepreneurial attitude

  • Familiarity with developing applications in any one of the public cloud providers, preferably AWS.

  • Strong programming experience in any language (Python& Typescriptpreferred)

  • Experienceinwebapplication development, including modernfrontend frameworks,standardCMSpatterns,andserver-driven UIs

  • Experience with database technology (relational and/or NoSQL)

  • Experience driving your projects frominceptionto completion

  • Willingness to teach, coach, and mentor others

  • Experience producing high quality code andsolicitfeedback

  • Willingness to take a position and share views freely in a constructive and solution-based manner

  • Experience in one or more of messaging, caching, automation, agentic development, and UI frameworks is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Wordpress

  • Experience with NextJS

  • Knowledge of standard UI patterns & technologies, including CSS, cookies, OAuth, & Browser APIs

  • Familiarity with common web marketing practices, such as analytics & A/B testing

Expected annual base salary range:

$90,000 - $140,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone's sole discretion.
