Job description

Job Title: Network Architect – ZScaler & ZTE

Location: Atlanta, GA (100% Onsite)
Type: Contract (6–12+ Months)

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect with deep expertise in Zscaler and ZTE networking technologies to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable enterprise network architectures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise networking, cloud security, and telecom infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design enterprise-level network solutions, focusing on Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and ZTE network equipment.
  • Lead implementation and integration of Zscaler cloud security solutions into existing network infrastructure.
  • Design and manage network segmentation, access policies, and secure connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Provide technical leadership for network upgrades, migrations, and security enhancements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure network design meets business and compliance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex network performance and security issues across WAN, LAN, and internet gateways.
  • Develop network diagrams, HLD/LLD documentation, and change control documentation.
  • Ensure network solutions are in line with zero-trust security principles and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 12-15+ years of experience in network engineering/architecture roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Zscaler solutions including ZIA, ZPA, and Zscaler Client Connector.
  • In-depth experience with ZTE network hardware and telecom systems.
  • Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
  • Experience with SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), and cloud-based security.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) principles.
  • Strong documentation and design skills (Visio, Confluence, etc.).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications such as Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP), Cisco CCNP/CCIE, or CompTIA Network+.
  • Experience in telecom or ISP environments using ZTE.
  • Exposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
