Powered by our proprietary technology that enables people to find the resources available in their area, we have helped millions of Seekers find food, health, housing and employment programs.

About the role

Provide world-class technical support and infrastructure expertise to a mission-driven company with a vibrant corporate culture. This role is designed for a dedicated professional who thrives on taking full ownership of the core infrastructure that empowers our team to succeed every day. Moving beyond day-to-day user support, the IT Infrastructure Administrator manages the complete lifecycle of our macOS fleet and corporate network—from ensuring seamless, zero-touch deployments to maintaining the long-term health and security of our office hubs. As a primary Tier 2 escalation point, you will blend high-level administration with empathetic, hands‑on support, ensuring that every technical solution enhances our employees’ workflows. This position is ideal for an individual with exceptional operational discipline and a project oriented mindset, capable of executing complex technical tasks and maintaining the stability of our enterprise systems in a fast-paced, shifting environment.

What you'll do
  • Execute end-to-end user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows across Google Workspace and SSO providers, ensuring immediate access revocation, data preservation, and license reclamation for departing employees.
  • Manage the daily health of the macOS fleet using Jamf Pro by monitoring Automated Device Enrollment tokens and troubleshooting failed pre-stage enrollments to ensure zero-touch deployment success.
  • Configure and enforce operating system updates and security patches via MDM smart groups, proactively intervening with non-compliant devices to minimize security vulnerabilities.
  • Administer the Ubiquiti UniFi network controller by executing rolling firmware updates for access points and switches during scheduled maintenance windows to maintain network stability.
  • Verify FileVault encryption status and Gatekeeper compliance across all endpoints, managing recovery key escrow and troubleshooting security agent health checks.
  • Manage permission schemes, notification schemes, and user groups within Jira and Confluence to maintain operational hygiene without altering core system architecture.
  • Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) in HubSpot to ensure appropriate data visibility for Sales and Marketing teams and troubleshoot basic integration sync errors.
  • Conduct monthly audits of administrator privileges, Google Group memberships, and third-party API connections to enforce the principle of least privilege and ensure license compliance.
  • Monitor the Google Workspace Security Investigation Tool and Alert Center for suspicious login activity or phishing attempts, executing immediate remedial actions when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary Tier 2 escalation point for the IT Support Help Desk, resolving complex technical issues that require administrative privileges, terminal access, or deep log analysis.
  • Coordinate the physical repair and return merchandise authorization (RMA) process for defective hardware, including laptops, network gear, and audio‑visual equipment.
  • Open and manage technical support cases with enterprise vendors such as Apple, Google, and Atlassian to resolve platform‑level bugs and service outages.
  • Maintain the physical integrity of server rooms and network closets, including performing cable management, checking UPS battery health, and auditing hardware inventory.
  • Create and actively maintain technical standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles to support L1 technicians and ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Execute defined technical tasks for IT projects, such as bulk hardware replacements, software migrations, or new office setups, as directed by IT management.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive administrative tasks using basic scripts or workflow tools to reduce manual overhead and improve team efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of IT infrastructure experience, with a clear progression of responsibility in systems administration and end‑user support.
  • Experience in technical execution, with a proven ability to complete defined technical tasks for projects (e.g., software deployments, office setups) within established deadlines.
  • Solid working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and 802.11 standards). Experience should focus on the administration and maintenance of existing network infrastructure (specifically Ubiquiti UniFi) rather than high‑level architecture or design.
  • Administrative experience with core corporate platforms, proficiency is required in managing the daily operations of:
  • Atlassian (Jira project creation, Confluence space management).
  • MDM Solutions (Jamf Pro) for macOS fleet management.
  • Effective Communicator: Must be able to communicate complex technical details to non‑technical staff with patience and empathy. As this role blends high‑level administration with hands‑on support, the ability to articulate how a change affects a user's workflow is critical.
  • Vendor Coordination: Experience opening and managing support tickets with enterprise vendors (e.g., Apple, Google, ISPs) to resolve outages or hardware defects. (Note: Contract negotiation and budgeting are not required).
  • Operational Discipline: A commitment to maintaining up‑to‑date documentation, adhering to change management procedures (e.g., testing updates before deployment), and ensuring the organization remains compliant with security policies (e.g., SOC2, ISO).
Physical demands and work environment
  • This job is based on‑site in Austin, Texas
  • Limited travel via airplane may be required to other hub locations.
  • Partially a sedentary role; standard office equipment is used, such as laptops, monitors and headsets, if needed.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs., ability to climb ladders, and use of power tools.
We value being together

We believe being together enables stronger relationships, collaboration, and culture.

This position is in office and candidates must be located in Madison, Wisconsin.
  • 401k & equity grants
  • Free food and onsite gym at our Austin HQ
  • Paid parental leave
  • Competitive PTO & 10 paid holidays
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance with 100% company‑paid coverage for employee only coverage
  • Dog‑friendly office in Austin HQ
