Description:

Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Network Security Boundaries. Manage Network Security Boundary infrastructure and any processes related to the systems. Provide support to Network Security Boundaries including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, load balancers, etc. Provide Tier 1 (Basic help desk resolution) and Tier 2 (In-depth technical support) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provide support for hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balancers and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of Information Technology Network Security Boundaries
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using Network Security Boundaries
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Network Security Boundaries
  • Provide support to Network Security Boundaries including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, load balancers, etc.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Basic help desk resolution) and Tier 2 (In-depth technical support) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide in-depth experience in trouble‑shooting the network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, load balancers, etc.
  • Configure and manage network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balancers and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
Required Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph
  • Ten (10) years experience as a NSSA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of NSSA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must meet DoD approved 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT Level II
  • Must possess at least two(2) of the following vendor certifications:
    • Palo Alto Next‑Generation Firewall Engineer (NGFE)
    • Sonicwall Network Security Certification (Administrator (SNSA) or Professional (SNSP))
    • Cisco Enterprise Certification (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE)
Salary Range

$100,000.00 – $250,000.00 (Annually) Annual Compensation Figures listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; annual hours worked; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location.
