Job description

Summary: 
We are looking for a highly experienced and driven Sr. Network Operations Engineer to join our Infrastructure (INF) Team. This role requires an expert-level understanding of network infrastructure and best practices, exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and thought leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring Client and EXOS network operations compliance, performance, and reliability.
 



  • Network Operations and Auditing: 
    1. Audit and Remediation of Firewall Architecture and Rulesets for consistency with our security posture
    2. Firewall Patch Management
    3. EOL/EOS Compliance Assessments across our managed Firewall fleet
    4. VPN Audit and Remediation, including but not limited to remote access current settings, best practices, and ideal controls.
    5. Vendor offering management to ensure we are best utilizing both our vendors and our equipment
  • Network Operations Automation:
    1.  Lead the automation pipelines for both auditing and compliancy across our Network architecture
    2. Analyze network performance data to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for improvement. 
    3. Develop and implement strategies to prevent network incidents and enhance overall reliability, with a concentration on automated responses. 
  • Network Security and Compliance: 
    1. Oversee the implementation of network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities. 
    2. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. 
    3. Conduct regular security assessments and audits, and implement corrective actions as needed. 
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, incident reports, and service records. 
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Qualifications: 
  • Education and Experience: 
    1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent experience.  
    2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Network Engineer, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role 
  • Technical Skills: 
    1. Expert knowledge of network infrastructure and operations. 
    2. Extensive experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Unifi, or similar advanced networking equipment. 
    3. Advanced proficiency in networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and network monitoring tools. 
    4. Strong understanding of network security practices, incident management, and disaster recovery planning. 
  • Certifications (preferred but not required):
    1.  Advanced certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, NSE5+,or similar. 
    2. Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent. 
  • Soft Skills: 
    1. Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
    2. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
    3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
    4. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
