At Adaptic, our Network Engineers don't just keep systems connected-they design, secure, and optimize the infrastructure that enables mission success. Supporting the DoD and Intelligence Community, you'll work in dynamic environments where performance, reliability, and security are critical.

Whether you're early in your career or leading network architecture and engineering efforts, we're looking for Network Engineers at all levels who enjoy solving complex problems and keeping systems running at peak performance.

Your Impact

You'll support and enhance network infrastructure across design, implementation, and operations-ensuring secure, reliable connectivity in high-stakes environments. Day-to-day, that can look like:

  • Configuring and optimizing network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Designing and supporting network segmentation (e.g., VLANs, VRFs) and virtualized environments
  • Implementing and managing network security controls, including IDS/IPS and NextGen firewalls
  • Monitoring network performance, capacity, and availability across distributed systems
  • Troubleshooting connectivity issues and resolving complex network problems
  • Supporting network operating system installation, upgrades, and patching
  • Developing and maintaining network backup and recovery procedures
  • Identifying and mitigating network vulnerabilities to enhance system security
  • Supporting virtualized network environments, including VMware-based infrastructure
  • Collaborating with system administrators, engineers, and security teams to support mission needs

Qualifications

  • All positions require an active TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Experience with network engineering concepts, including routing, switching, and network security
  • Experience with technologies such as Cisco IOS, PAN-OS, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with network segmentation, virtualization, and traffic management concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network infrastructure and connectivity issues
  • Experience working in fast-paced, operational environments
  • A degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to Have

  • Active DoD IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CASP+, CCNP Security)
  • Active Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)
  • Experience with VMware/ESXi or virtualized network environments
  • Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems and network monitoring tools
  • Exposure to network security, vulnerability analysis, or defensive cyber operations
  • Military cyber training (e.g., JCAC, UCT, NWBC/INWT)
