Job Summary:

MUFG is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join the Enterprise Network Engineering & Operations team. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for the firm's global load balancing, DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on expertise with F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM (DNS), Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), AWS networking services, and infrastructure automation. This individual will be responsible for architecting, implementing, optimizing, and supporting highly available and secure enterprise network services that support mission-critical banking applications.

This position plays a critical role in driving cloud transformation initiatives, modernizing network services, improving operational efficiency through automation, and ensuring the highest levels of availability, security, scalability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM solutions, including high availability, SSL/TLS, iRules, and traffic optimization.
  • Engineer and maintain Infoblox DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Grid Architecture, and DNS security services.
  • Design and support AWS networking services, including Route 53, Route 53 Resolver, DNS Firewall, ALB, NLB, and hybrid cloud DNS architectures.
  • Lead cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Develop automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, and REST APIs.
  • Implement security controls, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.
  • Participate in production support and on-call rotation.
  • Maintain architecture standards, documentation, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM, including iRules development and enterprise-scale load balancing architectures.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with Infoblox DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Grid Architecture, and REST API integrations.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP technologies.
  • 7+ years of experience managing enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with:
    • F5 BIG-IP LTM
    • F5 BIG-IP DNS (GTM)
    • High Availability (HA) configurations
    • Advanced iRules development
    • SSL/TLS troubleshooting
    • Application traffic management and optimization
  • Expert-level hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Infoblox DDI platforms, including:
    • DNS
    • DHCP
    • IPAM
    • Grid Master / Grid Architecture
    • Universal DDI Reporting
    • BloxOne and Threat Defense (preferred)
    • REST API integrations and automation
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • AWS Route 53
    • Route 53 Resolver
    • ALB
    • NLB
    • Hybrid cloud DNS architectures
  • Experience leveraging APIs, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools to automate network service provisioning and operational tasks.
  • Experience managing large-scale, highly available production environments supporting mission-critical business applications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments with thousands of managed DNS zones, global load balancing services, and mission-critical applications.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills involving:
    • DNS
    • TCP/IP
    • Routing

The typical base pay range for this role is as follows:

  • New York / New Jersey: $150k - $194k
  • Non-New York / New Jersey: $140k - $174k
