ABOUT THE ROLE
Manager, Network Engineering, Princeton, NJ: Design and deploy scalable and reliable IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, and virtualization technologies. Plan, configure, and install hardware and software to meet organizational needs. Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN. Ensure network performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues. Administer and maintain operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and Unix. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network and infrastructure from threats. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Monitor infrastructure and network performance using various tools and techniques. Optimize system and network performance and ensure high availability. Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and procedures. Ensure data integrity and availability through regular backups and restoration testing. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure and network-related issues. Assist with escalated help desk tickets and provide timely resolution. Create and maintain detailed documentation for network and infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and project progress.
Requirement: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration/Management with Information Technology concentration or a related field and two (2) years of experience in infrastructure and network engineering. Applicant must have: Hands-on experience in configuring and managing network devices including routers, switches, firewalls. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V with strong aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues. Experience in deploying and maintaining cloud-based solutions using AWS and Microsoft Azure. Hands-on expertise in planning, configuring, and maintaining robust network infrastructures, encompassing local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), wireless systems (WLAN), and secure virtual private networks (VPN). Strong knowledge of network protocols, security practices, and infrastructure technologies is required. Travel to various company's worksites - Domestic travel 10%. 40 hours per week: 9am-5pm. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States. Salary: $140,000 - $155,000 per year.
