Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco networking and Palo Alto firewall technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting secure and scalable network infrastructures across enterprise environments.

This role requires hands-on experience in routing, switching, firewall administration, VPN connectivity, and network security best practices. The candidate should be capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to ensure optimal network performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, security policies, NAT rules, and VPN tunnels.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability of WAN, LAN, and wireless environments.
  • Perform firewall upgrades, firmware updates, and security patch management.
  • Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and security incidents across multi-site environments.
  • Implement routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Configure VLANs, ACLs, QoS, VPNs, and site-to-site connectivity solutions.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce security standards and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and network failover testing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering with enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, Nexus, and Catalyst platforms.
  • Proven expertise in Palo Alto firewall configuration and administration.
  • Experience with Panorama management is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and network security architecture.
  • Experience with routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, and STP.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar platforms.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, or PCNSE are preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in hybrid cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies.
  • Knowledge of network automation tools such as Ansible or Python scripting.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
