Job description

Job Title: Support Engineer

Locations: Westerville, OH / Phoenix, AZ(Onsite)

Duration: Long Term
Description: 

Shift 1: 6AM – 3PM

Shift 2: 2PM – 11PM

  • Monitor servers, applications, and network infrastructure using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or similar.
  • Respond to server alerts and incidents related to CPU, memory, disk usage, service failures, backups, and hardware status.
  • Perform initial diagnostics and troubleshooting of Linux and/or Windows servers.
  • Escalate issues to Level 2/3 teams as needed, following escalation protocols.
  • Document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Execute routine server maintenance tasks (log rotation, script executions, etc.) as per SOPs.
  • Assist in patch management and server reboots during maintenance windows.
  • Maintain awareness of ongoing issues, scheduled maintenance, and outages.
