Job Description
The Senior Manager, Military Exchanges & Contract Sales CamelBak will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing relationships with key military exchanges (AAFES, NEXCOM, MCX, Coast Guard Exchange) across the United States and US contract sales for CamelBak, focusing on maximizing the sales potential for the brands. This role will also include the management and coordination of sales agencies to optimize product placement, develop strategic sales programs, and ensure exceptional customer service within these critical retail channels.
The Senior Manager, Military Exchanges & Contract Sales CamelBak reports to the VP of Project Freedom and will be based onsite in Chesapeake, VA.
As the Sr. Manager Military Exchanges & Contract Sales CamelBak, you will have an opportunity to:
  • Identify and proactively cultivate relationships with key decision-makers within military branches, government agencies, and first responder organizations to establish initial points of contact and build foundational relationships.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to uncover emerging trends, identify specific needs, and qualify potential strategic partnerships that align with the brand values and growth objectives.
  • Develop and nurture strategic alliances with prime contractors, system integrators, and relevant industry associations serving the military, government, and first responder communities.
  • Engage with key opinion leaders, technical specialists, and program managers to cultivate brand advocacy and influence product adoption within target agencies and organizations.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to conceptualize and develop customized product solutions and partnership programs that address the specific operational and logistical needs of military, government, and first responder clients.
  • Represent brands at key industry events, conferences, and specialized demonstrations to create impactful brand experiences and foster long-term customer engagement within these sectors.
  • Construct and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads and partnership opportunities, meticulously documenting interactions and tracking progress to ensure sustainable business development within these specialized markets.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, procurement processes, and technological advancements within the military, government, and first responder sectors to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic planning for both CamelBak and Stone Glacier.
  • Foster close collaboration with marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and facilitate the smooth transition of opportunities into successful partnerships within these specialized fields.
  • Provide regular reports and strategic insights to management, highlighting key market trends, partnership progress, and potential growth opportunities within the military, government, and first responder communities.

You Have:
  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, finance, or other related field of study
  • 8 + Years of experience in sales and business development, preferably within the military, government, or first responder sectors.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, agency structures, and operational requirements within these sectors.
  • Excellent networking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders in high-stakes environments.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and market analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking abilities within specialized communities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Passion for serving those who serve in military, government, and first responder roles.
  • Results-oriented and driven to achieve business development goals in complex environments.

Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
