Midstream Scheduler
Industry: Midstream Oil & Gas (Pipelines, Facilities, Compression)

Critical Requirement This role requires prior experience as a Construction Manager or Construction Superintendent supporting midstream oil and gas projects.
Candidates must have direct, hands-on exposure to construction execution, field sequencing, and contractor coordination to effectively build and manage project schedules.
Role Summary The Midstream Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed project schedules for midstream construction projects, including pipelines, facilities, compressor stations, and related infrastructure. This role works closely with construction management, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure schedules accurately reflect field execution plans, material availability, and contractor performance. A strong construction background is essential to ensure schedules are realistic, field-driven, and execution-focused.
Key Responsibilities โ€ข Develop and maintain integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities
โ€ข Build schedules that reflect actual construction sequencing based on prior experience as a Construction Manager or Superintendent
โ€ข Interface directly with construction managers, field supervisors, and contractors to validate work logic and durations
โ€ข Track schedule progress, identify critical path activities, and analyze impacts to milestones
โ€ข Incorporate field productivity, weather constraints, access issues, and permitting considerations into schedule logic
โ€ข Perform schedule risk analysis, look-ahead planning, and recovery planning as required
โ€ข Monitor contractor performance against baseline schedules and flag deviations
โ€ข Update schedules with field progress, quantities installed, and earned value metrics
โ€ข Support change management by evaluating schedule impacts of scope changes, delays, or rework
โ€ข Prepare schedule reports, narratives, and dashboard updates for project and leadership teams
โ€ข Support claims analysis and schedule impact assessments when required
โ€ข Coordinate closely with cost controls and project controls teams to align schedule and cost forecasts
โ€ข Ensure scheduling standards, best practices, and documentation requirements are followed
Required Experience and Qualifications โ€ข Previous experience as a Construction Manager or Construction Superintendent on midstream oil and gas projects
โ€ข Strong understanding of pipeline and facility construction execution
โ€ข Experience developing and managing schedules for midstream projects (pipelines, plants, compressor stations, terminals)
โ€ข Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 (preferred) or equivalent
โ€ข Working knowledge of construction sequencing, crew productivity, and contractor work packaging
โ€ข Ability to translate field execution plans into executable, logic-driven schedules
โ€ข Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
โ€ข Ability to work with cross-functional teams in fast-paced project environments
Preferred Qualifications โ€ข Project Controls or Scheduling background in midstream oil and gas
โ€ข Experience supporting large capital projects and phased developments
โ€ข Familiarity with permitting, ROW constraints, and tie-in planning
โ€ข Experience supporting schedule recovery or delay analysis
Working Conditions โ€ข Office and field interaction as required
โ€ข Periodic travel to project sites may be required
