Merchandiser & Floral Merchandiser (Independent Contractor) About the Positions

We are currently hiring for two separate independent contractor positions in Bolton, ON

1. Merchandiser 20-24 Hours Per Week
    2. Floral Merchandiser 5-6 Hours Per Week
      Job Overview Merchandiser

      We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the presentation of floral and packaged nut product displays at assigned retail locations.

      The ideal candidate will visit assigned stores approximately 3 times per week to ensure displays are visually appealing, well-stocked, properly priced, and maintained according to merchandising standards. This role also involves updating seasonal displays, managing inventory, and executing store-specific marketing programs.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Display & Product Maintenance: Organize and condense displays to maintain a neat, fresh, and attractive presentation. Restock and update packaged product displays as needed, including seasonal displays and pricing.
      • Inventory & Ordering: Monitor inventory, identify low-stock items, and place product orders to ensure displays remain fully stocked and organized.
      • Planogram Execution: Follow planograms to ensure products are placed according to store-specific guidelines. Execute promotional displays, end caps, and other marketing programs.
      • Reporting: Submit daily call reports documenting the condition of displays, inventory levels, and actions taken during each store visit.
      • Collaboration: Work closely with store personnel to ensure displays consistently meet merchandising standards.
      • Cleanliness & Organization: Keep display areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.
      Additional Responsibilities Floral Merchandiser

      The Floral Merchandiser position is focused specifically on maintaining floral displays and ensuring flowers and plants remain fresh, healthy, and attractive.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Floral Display Maintenance: Maintain attractive, organized, and well-stocked floral displays.
      • Plant Care: Water and care for flowers and plants according to their specific needs, ensuring they remain healthy and vibrant.
      • Product Rotation: Remove damaged or wilted product and ensure displays contain fresh, presentable flowers and plants.
      • Cleanliness: Keep the floral display area tidy, clean, and organized, including disposing of trash and removing unwanted product.
      • Inventory: Monitor floral inventory and communicate low-stock or product concerns as needed.
      • Reporting: Submit detailed call reports after each store visit documenting the condition of the floral display and any actions taken.
      Qualifications
      • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
      • Comfortable walking and being on your feet for extended periods.
      • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
      • A keen eye for presentation and maintaining attractive displays.
      • Flexibility to adjust to changing store needs and requests.
