About Rainbow Greenhouses

Rainbow Greenhouses supplies national retailers and independent growers across North America with year-round live goods. With over 5 million sq. ft. of greenhouse space in BC and Alberta, we operate advanced, resource-efficient growing systems powered by skilled, hands-on teams. Our workforce scales seasonally from 500 to 1,000+ employees across multiple provinces. At Rainbow, we grow plants, people, and partnerships with long-term success in mind.

About the Opportunity:

We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Regional Merchandising Manager to join our merchandising leadership team for Rainbow Greenhouses’ Walmart indoor and Garden Center program. This is a management position that blends leadership and merchandising, perfect for someone who thrives on the road, enjoys being in stores, and takes pride in building great displays and relationships.

As an Regional Merchandising Manager, you’ll oversee a team of merchandisers across your region, supporting them through training, coaching, and day-to-day communication. You’ll also stay directly involved in the work — stepping in to cover sick calls, refresh displays, check plant health, and ensure merchandising standards are met across all your stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of merchandisers across multiple Walmart locations in all of Manitoba and Saskatchewan

  • Remote management, working under remote supervision, and using a computer and cell phone are part of their day-to-day tasks.

  • Build strong relationships with Walmart store managers and department leads

  • Travel regularly throughout your territory to visit stores (daily driving required)

  • Maintain beautiful, fresh, and organized plant displays

  • Respond quickly to coverage needs and store priorities

  • Track hours, support training, and uphold company standards

  • Work full-time during the busy Garden Center season (May–June)

  • Hours shift to part-time during the off-season (12–20 hours per week) and may fluctuate around major holidays.

  What You Bring

  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience (retail, merchandising, or horticulture an asset)

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule

  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (mileage is reimbursed)

  • Comfort working in outdoor environments during the spring/summer season

  • A proactive attitude — you take ownership and get things done

  What We Offer

  • Competitive wages that reflect your experience and the work you bring

  • Belong to one of Western Canada's largest Greenhouses – join a high-performing team in a fast-moving environment

  • A workplace that's a little greener than most — literally

  • A team that takes care in what they grow – plants, people, and opportunities

  • Mileage reimbursement: $0.38 per kilometer

  • Monthly phone stipend: $12.50

Note: Incentive programs, benefits, and perks have eligibility requirements.
