A Day in the LifeThe Vascular Area Service Manager collaborates with key PVH stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and execute service strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectives within assigned area as it relates to service activities and program. Drive execution of key initiatives to achieve Vascular Area level goals. This role will provide direction and leadership to clinical employees in assigned area, including the hiring development and retention of talent. In addition, this role will maximize area personnel performance by developing and motivating Service employees to deliver unsurpassed patient care, physician/AHP service and technical expertise in the hospital, clinic and other care settings. This role reports solid line to the Area Director and operationally to the National Service Director.

Service Leadership

  • Lead all area and district clinical support related activities and programs to efficiently optimize resources, deliver customer value, and deliver exceptional clinical guidance. Identify service opportunities with analytics and/or clinical specialist field visits. Address service opportunities through coaching or the development of specific measurable projects.

  • Work with district (s)/territories/Area Sales Directors to ensure efficient and effective scheduling of Vascular procedures and clinical support.

  • Collaborate with sales team and additional key stakeholders to coordinate and execute strategies to achieve service-related business objectives.

  • Lead and drive changes focused on strengthening of PVH Vascular acumen, prioritization of understanding and implementation of expanded PVH solutions to the customer, and customer engagement

  • Responsible for Vascular Clinical Specialist recruiting and hiring. Continually work to maintain a strong, diverse bench of Clinical Specialist talent for future hiring opportunities.

  • Partner with sales team to drive key service initiatives and provide service assessments via periodic business reviews, QSR's, etc. that highlight the value of Medtronic service to our customers

  • Work with area and district leadership to align service resources based on business priorities and appropriate customer demands

PVH Vascular

  • Partner with National Service Director, Area Sales Directors and Vascular DMs to achieve business objectives, execute on PVH Vascular strategies, implant, revenue and expense goals

  • Drive cross Vascular support for key PVH programs/needs

  • Drive accountability through adherence to deadlines and timely documentation of clinical service-related activities including daily SalesForce.com entry of all case coverage and non-procedure activities (customer facing) 'My Events' for effective tracking all business activities aligned to PVH service performance objectives.

People Management

  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to direct reports; provides regular performance reviews, goal setting discussions, development discussions, and implements corrective actions where necessary.

  • Coach and motivate employees to achieve service, implant and revenue goals. Partners with DM to foster a work environment that engenders positive energy, respect and teamwork among employees.

  • Lead area level aligned districts to execute on key service goals and objectives

  • Manage own service team to deliver unsurpassed service, technical expertise and support the achievement of implant and revenue goals

  • Assist employees with individual clinical and professional development planning

  • Continually work to maintain a strong, diverse bench of clinical specialist talent for future hiring opportunities

Business Operations

  • Communicate PVH Vascular, area and/or district vision, goals and activities

  • Business Discipline: Sales support, inventory/OPC, credentialing, expense management, data privacy, PO Pending's, warranty credits and required training

  • Ensure efficient, effective use of inventory, expenses and assets

  • Apply Customer Focused Quality Concepts

Must Have - Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in engineering, life sciences, healthcare, nursing, exercise physiology or business

  • 5 years of successful healthcare, field clinical/sales support professional experience

  • 2 years of experience directly managing employees in a healthcare organization

Nice to Have - Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated business acumen

  • Experience in a healthcare related discipline
