Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Major/Essential Functions
- Investigates and adjudicates cases of individual and organizational Student Conduct, including, but not limited to referrals from student complainants, faculty and/or staff members, the Texas Tech Police Department, University Student Housing, and academic integrity referrals.
- Creates individualized, educationally-based sanctions, conditions, and/or restrictions for individual students who are found responsible for violating that Code of Student Conduct.
- Assist with reviewing and assigning cases.
- Assist with development of material for the Office. Assists with campus presentations, education, and outreach efforts related to the Conduct process and the Code of Student Conduct.
- Assists in the development of strategic planning, document creation, Panel hearing training, and policies and procedures related to administration of the Office of Student Conduct.
- Assists with the development of annual goals and the annual report specifically related to areas of responsibility and for other programs and services administered through the Office of Student Conduct.
- Assists with annual revisions of the Student Handbook and Code of Student Conduct for final approval through the Board of Regents.
- Assists with the Office of Student Conduct database management software, Maxient.
- Assists with crisis intervention and academic/personal referrals to University departments and community agencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in higher education, social work, criminal justice or related field preferred.
- Experience with Clery and other compliance reporting.
- Experience with data collection and analytics.
- Experience investigating and adjudicating cases of student conduct.
- Knowledge of and experience with Maxient software.
