Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess over two years of experience in residential and commercial plumbing and demonstrate excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various equipment and appliances, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Job duties include but are not limited to: residential and commercial plumbing repairs and replacements such as bath and shower faucets, kitchen and bathroom sink faucets, toilet installations, toilet repairs, electric and gas water heater installations and repairs.
  • Drain and sewer cleaning including: hydro-jetting and sewer camera service, drain line locating, water main breaks, sewer line repairs and installations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
  • Offer a range of solutions to customers after a comprehensive assessment of their plumbing systems.
  • Achieve personal and team performance targets while upholding excellent work quality.
  • Daily tasks will be uploaded onto a dispatch software.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Build rapport with customers by providing exceptional service and addressing their concerns effectively.
  • Employ company-provided technology during service calls for effective documentation and communication.
  • Clearly convey recommendations to customers, ensuring they fully understand the proposed solutions.
  • Adhere to code standards, securing all required permits and inspections.

Requirements

  • Proven two years of experience in residential and commercial plumbing. Apprentices with over two years of experience will also be considered.
  • Possess a valid NC Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Buy/have basic hand tools.
  • Proven time management skills with the capability to keep a service truck well-organized.
  • Open to adapting to evolving business practices and customer requirements.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules according to customer needs.
  • Master's and/or Journeyman Licenses are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems and the ability to perform repairs and replacements.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
