Job description

Our client is seeking a Production Manager to join their team. -Supervise and coordinate daily machine shop activities including CNC, manual, setup, tooling, inspection, material flow and job prioritization -Assign work to machinists, operators, assemblers and other staff based on schedule, skill, machine availability and customer deadlines -Monitor production progress and adjust as needed -Ensure everyone is adhering to safety guidelines, LOTO procedures, company policies and PPE requirements -Train, coach and mentor shop employees -Coordinate with other departments such as planning, engineering, quality, purchasing, maintenance and management -Maintain accurate records and reporting Required Skills & Experience: -HS Diploma or GED required -5+ years of machine shop or manufacturing experience with lead, foreman or supervisory experience strongly preferred -Strong working knowledge of CNC mills and lathes, manual machines, tooling, fixtures, feeds and speed and best practices -Ability to read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, travelers, inspection plans and specs -Understand quality systems, precision tools, root-cause problem solving etc -Ability to lead employees and communicate clearly -Good computer skills with ERP/MRP, email, time keeping software etc -Strong organizational skills Preferred Skills & Experience: -Technical schooling, apprenticeship, or AA in machining, manufacturing or related -Experience with lean manufacturing, 5s, continuous improvement, setup reduction -Experience in a job shop, precision machine shop or high-mix/low-volume environment -Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 or other QMS -Forklift, crane or rigging training or certs By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.
