Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to efficiently operate CNC machines, specifically Okuma Lathe machines and Seiki Mills. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure product quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Operate CNC machines, including Okuma Lathe machines and Seiki Mills.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality standards.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Complete production logs and documentation accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
Essential Skills- Experience in production and machine operation.
- Ability to set up and operate CNC machines.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and conducting inspections.
- Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Energetic and willing to train.
- Interest in pursuing a career in machining.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Experience operating CNC Mills is a plus.
- Previous experience in a machine shop environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and schematics.

Work EnvironmentWork on a 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm in a 50,000 sq/ft machine shop equipped with multiple CNC machines. The facility manufactures parts used in various industries, including aerospace and automotive, offering a dynamic and challenging work environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Morton Grove, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
