Position: Production Specialist / Doughnut Maker

Reports To: General Manager
Job Overview
The Production Specialist / Doughnut Maker is responsible for preparing, producing, and processing Krispy Kreme doughnuts and related products according to company recipes, quality standards, and production schedules. This role operates production equipment, prepares ingredients, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and ensures products consistently meet Krispy Kreme quality expectations. The Production Specialist supports shop operations through teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering fresh, high-quality products to guests.
Key Responsibilities
Doughnut Production
  • Produce doughnuts that meet Krispy Kreme quality, appearance, and freshness standards.
  • Prepare dough, glaze, fillings, icings, brews, and other ingredients using approved recipes and formulas.
  • Follow production schedules and projections to ensure product availability while minimizing waste.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
  • Package and stage products for processing, display, and distribution as needed.
  • Maintain proper product rotation and freshness standards.

Equipment Operation
  • Safely operate production equipment including proofers, fryers, glazers, mixers, processing equipment, fillers, icing machines, and related production tools.
  • Follow all operating procedures and equipment safety requirements.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment issues to management.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and operational readiness.

Food Safety & Compliance
