Summary:
The Logistic Analyst drives efficient and cost-effective transportation across the distribution network, including Cross Dock, Transship, and DC operations. The role owns first-mile and middle-mile processes, manages carriers and vendors, implements cost control measures, and optimizes workflows and routing for reliable network performance. Partnering with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Tech teams, the analyst leverages data and system insights to improve operational efficiency, support strategic planning, and deliver high-quality transportation outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
Distribution Network Operations and Management
  • Define and standardize workflows for transfer, consolidation, and deconsolidation between nodes.
  • Manage and coordinate cargo flow across Cross Dock, Transship, and Distribution Center operations.
  • Drive process improvements and automation to enhance accuracy, throughput, and turnaround efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Tech teams to ensure system alignment and operational visibility.

Onsite Logistics Support
  • Provide onsite support at the local facility for real-time issue resolution, data validation, and process monitoring.
  • Collaborate with operations and other teams to troubleshoot shipment or system-related issues.
  • Support fulfillment, performance tracking, and process improvements to ensure compliance and accuracy.

First-mile (International Shipping) Operations Management
  • Own end-to-end first-mile processes, including vendor sourcing, freight booking, and customs documentation.
  • Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and implement cost control measures.
  • Monitor SLA compliance, shipment execution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Align first-mile operations with inventory and replenishment strategies.

Middle-mile (Linehaul) Operations Management
  • Own domestic and cross-region linehaul operations, ensuring reliable routes, SLA adherence, and cost efficiency.
  • Source and manage carriers, implement performance-based cost control, and optimize contracts.
  • Analyze network and carrier performance to identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Define and optimize workflows, including route planning, tendering, and load management.

Transportation System & Data Analysis
  • Support TMS design and enhancements across all transportation nodes.
  • Define system requirements, test new features, and ensure accurate shipment creation, routing, billing, and tracking.
  • Build dashboards and analyze data to monitor KPIs, costs, and performance trends.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to improve data integrity, automation, and operational visibility.

Business Planning & Stakeholder Communication
  • Contribute operational insights to strategic business planning and resource alignment.
  • Present performance metrics, project outcomes, and process improvements to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Act as liaison across Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Tech to ensure alignment and clear communication.

Projects Support & SOP/Wiki
  • Support logistics projects, including system updates, process optimization, and efficiency improvements.
  • Generate and analyze reports using Excel, SQL, or other tools for ad-hoc insights and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement projects aligned with business goals.
  • Own the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of logistics SOPs and Wiki documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of hands-on experience in transportation, linehaul, or logistics operations.
  • Strong understanding of transportation and logistics network design, carrier management, and cost control.
  • Proven experience in process improvement and workflow optimization within shipping, linehaul, or distribution operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Tech) to implement system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills; proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), SQL, and Tableau for reporting, KPI monitoring, and network analysis.
  • Experience managing vendor/carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Skilled in developing and communicating performance metrics and operational insights to stakeholders.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a requirement
