Cybersecurity Specialist
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives across Windows and Linux environments. This role will focus on application allowlisting, endpoint security, automation, and security monitoring to reduce organizational risk and strengthen system protection.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain application allowlisting policies for Windows and Linux systems.
  • Implement and manage AppLocker, Microsoft Defender Application Control (WDAC), and Red Hat fapolicyd.
  • Develop trusted application rules using publisher, hash, and path-based controls.
  • Integrate security logs with SIEM platforms such as Splunk for monitoring and alerting.
  • Automate deployments and policy management using Intune, Group Policy, and Ansible.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to onboard systems into allowlisting programs.
  • Create documentation, deployment guides, compliance artifacts, and security reports.
  • Support governance reviews, testing, implementation, and change management processes.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of cybersecurity, endpoint security, or related experience.
  • Microsoft AppLocker
  • Microsoft Defender Application Control (WDAC)
  • Red Hat fapolicyd
  • Splunk or similar SIEM platforms
  • Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE)
  • Experience managing Windows and Linux security controls.
