What We Are Looking For

  • A Project Executive for Columbus, OH Business Unitwith needs at least one of the following:
    • Experience directing the full operations lifecycle within an assigned market of a business unit.
    • Program level management experience in a multi-trade environment working with MEP trades.
    • Someone willing to travel (Canonsburg, PA, Columbus, OH & Business Units other Project Locations).

  • A professional with experience performing the following tasks:
    • Provide executive oversight of construction operations on multiple large-scale electrical construction projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, safety standards, quality expectations, contractual requirements, and client interests.
    • Manage a portfolio of high-value projects, typically exceeding $50 million annually, across various market sectors.
    • Serve as the contract administrator, ensuring project team alignment and compliance with contractual terms to mitigate company risks and optimize project value.
    • Champion a proactive safety culture by promoting cooperation with the enterprise safety team to develop compliance strategies for OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
    • Establish safety leadership initiatives and engage directly with field leadership to promote continuous improvement in jobsite safety performance.
    • Lead and support cross-functional teams including project managers, field leaders, estimators, planners, modelers, fabrication managers, schedulers, project controllers, and administrative staff to ensure consistent and successful project delivery.
    • Ensure seamless coordination between internal departments such as operations, planning, procurement, fabrication, safety, and finance to support project needs.
    • Effectively recruit, hire, mentor, and develop top project management and field leadership team members, fostering a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative work environment.
    • Maintain strong client relationships by serving as the primary point of executive contact throughout project lifecycles.
    • Ensure adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations throughout project execution.
    • Coordinate with the project controls team to produce and validate project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring profitability, accountability, and transparency.
    • Lead monthly financial review meetings for all projects within the portfolio.
    • Implement effective risk management strategies that align with company standards and client expectations to minimize exposure and resolve project challenges.
    • Ensure accurate and timely project scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking to meet or exceed project goals.
    • Collaborate with the estimating team to aid in the development of competitive, well-structured bids and change orders aligned with project delivery strategies.
    • Participate in the evaluation and selection of delivery methods, subcontractors, vendors, and construction partners to optimize project outcomes.
    • Facilitate regular project review meetings, including financial performance, schedule status, risk analysis, and staffing alignment.
    • Drive continuous improvement efforts, identifying process efficiencies and implementing best practices across the project management lifecycle.
    • Represent the company in high-level meetings including progress reviews, payment disputes, scope negotiations, and closeout discussions.
    • Promote the use of modern construction technologies, including 3D modeling, digital workflows, and cloud-based collaboration tools.
    • Ensure the proper documentation of all project activities, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, material procurement, fabrication logistics, work conditions, and meeting minutes.
    • Report regularly to executive leadership, providing updates on portfolio status, strategic risks, financial performance, and client engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the electrical construction industry including project management and field operations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or 10 years of related field experience
  • Data Center, Healthcare, Mission Critical, Sports & Entertainment, and Light Industrial experience
  • Experience managing projects / portfolios in excess of $100 million
  • Ability to travel to various job sites, client headquarters, etc. approximately 4 nights per month.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., AccuBid Anywhere, Bamboo, Bluebeam, Foundation, Microsoft Office Suite, Navisworks, PlanGrid, Procore, Primavera, QuickBase, Remarkable, SharePoint, Workday, or similar systems).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
