Job description

Are you a self-motivated, difference maker with a growth mindset? If you answered yes, then we’re excited to hear from you.

We’re looking to add a Project Manager to join our LED lighting retrofit of here at PEC (Pacific Energy Concepts), but, before we dive into the nitty-gritty, we’d love to tell you a bit about us.

We’ve been around for 17 years and are an innovative, growing company that’s making a significant, industry-wide impact. Our core values- Build to Last, Do the Right Thing, Play to Win, and Push the Envelope, aren’t the typical empty talking points you’ll find floating around, they’re fundamental to the people we are and the people we hire.

We’re North America’s most innovative energy optimization company. We deliver customized energy-efficiency solutions (like EV Charging Stations, LED Lighting, advanced controls, and Energy Monitoring) that go beyond energy savings, helping our partners "run efficient, save money, and work happy" all while reducing their carbon footprint. This is why brands like Costco, IKEA, Jeld-Wen and Alaska Airlines (to name a few of the 5000+ companies we work with) put their trust in us.

The Job

The Project Manager is responsible for independently managing a diverse portfolio of turnkey lighting retrofit projects, including both standard and moderately complex scopes. This role leads project execution from pre-construction through closeout, with full ownership of scheduling, material management, field coordination, and client communication.

The Project Manager role requires regular travel (30-50%) to support critical milestones, site conditions, and field execution needs. When not traveling, this position will be based in-person in our Vancouver, WA office.

This position has a hiring range of $92,000 - $135,000. This range reflects the full compensation range across the Project Manager role. Final offer will be determined based on role level, experience, skills, and qualifications.

Core Functions:

  • Manage and execute turnkey lighting retrofit projects, with full ownership of scope, timeline, budget, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee a diverse project portfolio spanning warehouse, retail, exterior, and one for one lighting replacements, balancing timelines, resources, and execution priorities across a range of project complexities.
  • Lead on-site execution for critical milestones, including kickoff meetings, inspections, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring quality and customer alignment.
  • Resolve unforeseen challenges related to scope changes, logistics, contractor coordination, or site-specific constraints to keep projects on track.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, maintaining consistent communication and setting clear, realistic expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with Energy Program teams to ensure accurate communication of rebate and incentive eligibility throughout the project.
  • Manage procurement logistics, including bill of materials creation, vendor coordination, and oversight of shipping, material delivery, and warehouse inventory.
  • Ensure installation readiness and compliance through pre and post installation inspections with customers, contractors, and utility partners.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs, energy re-audits, and customer training to confirm project goals, incentive qualifications, and successful handoff.
  • Deliver complete closeout packages, including photo documentation, energy reports, and commissioning results.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; two to seven years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in LED lighting, MEP systems, electrical infrastructure, or similar construction/trade project experience strongly preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations

  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred
