We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) & DDA Training Specialist who is passionate about adult education, compliance, and creating engaging AI-powered training content.
Position Summary
The Learning & Development (L&D) & DDA Training Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering employee training programs while ensuring compliance with Maryland DDA, Medicaid, and organizational requirements. This hybrid position combines instructional design, AI-powered content creation, learning management, and compliance tracking to support workforce development across HAVE Support.
The successful candidate will create engaging training materials, produce AI-generated instructional videos, monitor staff training compliance, and maintain an organized learning management system that ensures employees remain current on required certifications and mandatory training.
Essential Responsibilities
Learning & Development
Develop and facilitate orientation and ongoing employee training.
Design engaging instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning experiences.
Create standardized onboarding programs for new employees.
Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve learning materials.
AI Training Content Development
Create professional AI-generated training videos using platforms such as ChatGPT, Synthesia, HeyGen, Canva AI, ElevenLabs, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies.
Convert policies, procedures, and DDA requirements into engaging digital learning content.
Develop quizzes, competency assessments, and micro-learning modules.
Build and maintain an online training library accessible to staff.
Training Compliance & Tracking
Maintain accurate employee training records.
Track required DDA, CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, HIPAA, Abuse & Neglect Prevention, and other mandatory trainings.
Monitor certification expiration dates and training completion.
Schedule recurring training sessions and send reminders.
Generate compliance reports for leadership.
Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure training programs comply with Maryland DDA regulations, COMAR, Medicaid, and organizational policies.
Update training materials as regulations or policies change.
Maintain documentation to support audits and licensing reviews.
Collaboration
Partner with Human Resources, Program Leadership, and Quality Assurance to identify training needs and implement workforce development initiatives.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of three years of experience in employee training, instructional design, healthcare education, or developmental disabilities services.
Experience creating professional training materials and presentations.
Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
Preferred
Experience working with Maryland DDA providers.
Knowledge of Maryland DDA regulations and COMAR.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Experience creating AI-generated videos and digital learning content.
Familiarity with Canva, Synthesia, HeyGen, Articulate Rise, Storyline, or similar platforms.
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT for instructional design and content development.
