About the Company

Banter Floors & More is a locally owned flooring, cabinetry, and interior finishes company serving Northwest Indiana. We work with homeowners, builders, remodelers, and commercial customers on projects ranging from individual rooms to complete homes. We're looking for someone who wants more than just another sales job. We want someone interested in building relationships, developing their design and sales skills, and growing with our company.

About the Role

This is a full-time, in-person position for someone who enjoys working directly with homeowners, builders, and remodeling customers to turn ideas into finished kitchens and living spaces. We're looking for someone who can combine design ability, product knowledge, customer service, and sales. Cabinet or kitchen design experience is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers to understand their needs, style, budget, and project goals
  • Design functional and attractive kitchens, cabinetry layouts, and related spaces
  • Guide customers through cabinet styles, finishes, hardware, countertops, and related product selections
  • Prepare designs, estimates, proposals, and customer orders
  • Follow projects from the initial consultation through ordering and installation
  • Develop relationships with homeowners, builders, remodelers, and repeat customers
  • Coordinate with our sales, project management, installation, and warehouse teams
  • Maintain communication with customers throughout the project
  • Help generate new business while taking excellent care of existing Banter customers

Qualifications

  • Kitchen, cabinet, interior design, or related industry experience strongly preferred
  • Previous sales or customer-facing experience
  • Ability to understand measurements, layouts, and construction/design concepts
  • Cabinet design software experience is a major plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable discussing pricing and closing sales
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Dependable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team
  • A genuine interest in helping customers create spaces they're excited about

Pay range and compensation package

Banter Floors & More offers a competitive compensation package with strong earning potential. Benefits include:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Sales earning opportunities
  • Company-sponsored health insurance
  • Matching 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Product and industry training
  • Opportunities for professional growth

Equal Opportunity Statement

Banter Floors & More is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
