Job Description:
Purpose: The Senior Production Manager oversees molding and assembly production operations across multiple facilities. The role will directly lead these manufacturing functions ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and alignment with site goals. They will drive performance across facilities, optimize production processes, and foster a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and safety.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Oversee both molding and assembly production operation teams, including responsibility for performance management, development, and hiring decisions.
  • Develop, modify, and execute manufacturing strategies that are aligned with overall company objectives. Lead assembly and molding operations across multiple facilities.
  • Support daily manufacturing activities including resource allocation, workflow optimization and leader standard work
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, operational efficiencies, and overall quality. Identify and implement improvements in assembly and molding processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve cycle times.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, R&D, Sales, Service, and more to support product launches and process changes.
  • Track and communicate results on key performance indicators to leadership, troubleshooting operational issues and recommending actions for improvement.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Required: 8-10+ years of manufacturing experience including progressive management experience
  • Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience and training
  • Customer-focused with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated experience developing and engaging others
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong team player with knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge of JD Edwards software is a plus

Organizational Context:
The Senior Production Manager reports to the Director of Operations and directly manages a team of Molding and Assembly managers/supervisors. The role collaborates with all Operations functions and interfaces cross-functionally to meet site production goals.
