Job description

Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of large-scale, complex commercial kitchen construction projects. This role works within a highly collaborative team environment and serves as a subject matter expert in kitchen equipment, custom fabrication, installation logistics, and construction coordination. The Senior Project Manager supports and enhances the Companyโ€™s sales efforts through consistent, high-quality project delivery, leveraging extensive industry experience, long-standing relationships with manufacturers, installation partners, general contractors, and other customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of multiple, concurrent, high-value and complex commercial kitchen construction projects
  • Maintain full accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, billings, and contract compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers, and installation vendors
  • Manage procurement, delivery, coordination, and installation of kitchen equipment and custom fabrication packages
  • Review, approve, and manage Purchase Orders; initiate billings in accordance with contract terms and project milestones
  • Proactively identify constructability issues, scope gaps, and schedule conflicts, and develop solutions prior to field impact
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, contracts, and applicable codes
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and well-organized project documentation
  • Support internal teams (sales, estimating, operations) with technical expertise and constructability insight as needed
  • Travel to job sites as required to support field coordination, issue resolution, and project closeout
Required Qualifications:
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, ability to communicate effectively across all project stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate in a highly professional manner
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently resolve complex project issues
  • Thorough and advanced understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, custom fabrication, and KEC scope
  • Strong field measuring, field verification, and documentation capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects with high customer satisfaction and financial performance
  • Strong technical ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, contracts, and installation methods
  • Demonstrated long-term relationships with kitchen equipment manufacturers, installation vendors, and key industry partners
Supervisory Responsibility:

This position may provide informal leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Project Managers or Project Coordinators but does not have direct supervisory responsibility unless otherwise assigned.

Work Environment:

This position operates in both a professional office environment, as well as on construction and/or job sites as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and works under fluorescent lighting. Noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate but can be severe at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time especially when on a jobsite.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to make repetitive substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Ability to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Able to remain in a stationary position up to 50 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to hear, read, and speak in order to communicate with employees, customers, vendors, etc.
  • Ability to pull accurate field measurements using tape measure
