JOB SUMMARY:

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing Jennmar’s corporate social media presence and designated business unit pages across all assigned platforms. As part of the Marketing team, this role gathers and organizes available content, builds a coordinated social media calendar, publishes regular posts, engages with audiences, helps grow followers across channels, and reports on performance and growth.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Three to five years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, or content coordination preferred, ideally in a multi-brand, multi-location, B2B, industrial, manufacturing, construction, mining, or related environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, organization, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, social scheduling tools, Canva, and platform analytics.
• Ability to manage multiple brands, deadlines, stakeholders, and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Basic photography and short-form video skills are preferred; familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
• Professional judgment and attention to detail when handling public-facing content and company information.
• Ability to work onsite and travel occasionally to company locations, project sites, recruiting events, trade shows, or community activities as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage day-to-day social media activity for Jennmar and designated affiliated company accounts across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
• Develop and coordinate engaging, brand-consistent content, including post copy, supplied graphics, images, short-form videos, employee and project features, campaigns, and event promotions, while working with the team to gather and use approved creative assets.
• Build content calendars, schedule approved posts, support campaign execution, and coordinate publication timing across multiple brands and business units.
• Monitor comments, messages, tags, and mentions; respond or route inquiries promptly and professionally in accordance with company guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen brand awareness, audience engagement, recruitment visibility, service promotion, and community connections.
• Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, emerging formats, and relevant industry conversations.
• Coordinate with recruiting, sales, operations, branch leadership, project managers, and field personnel to gather accurate and timely information.
• Gather the 5 Ws (Who, What, When, Where, and Why), along with available photos, videos, drone footage, project details, links, and calls to action needed to develop each post.
• Identify gaps in available content and communicate photography, video, or creative asset needs to the Digital Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Design team for support.
• Use available media to showcase employees, facilities, products, services, projects, customers, partnerships, career opportunities, events, safety initiatives, and community involvement across Jennmar and its affiliates.
• Adapt content for the appropriate company, audience, platform, and business objective while maintaining a connected overall brand presence.
• Follow Jennmar brand standards, affiliate-specific brand requirements, and all Marketing Department guidelines.
• Ensure content accurately reflects the appropriate Jennmar company or affiliate and uses the correct logo, contact information, messaging, and call to action.
• Verify names, dates, locations, project information, technical details, links, and other facts before publication.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary or sensitive information and confirm that all content is approved for public distribution.
• Represent Jennmar and its affiliated companies positively, consistently, and professionally across all digital channels.
• Follow and engage with customers, industry partners, vendors, schools, trade associations, community organizations, and other relevant accounts.
• Use platform-appropriate keywords, tagging, hashtags, and social search best practices to improve discoverability and reach.
• Support thoughtful community management that builds relationships and increases awareness of Jennmar and its affiliated companies.
• Track follower growth, reach, impressions, engagement, clicks, and content performance across assigned accounts.
• Identify the topics, formats, platforms, and posting approaches that generate the strongest results.
• Provide monthly performance updates and recommend practical adjustments to improve content quality, consistency, reach, and engagement.
• Demonstrate initiative, creativity, responsiveness, and sound judgment.
• Communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Support a collaborative, service-oriented Marketing team and contribute to a consistent, high-quality digital presence for Jennmar and its affiliated companies.
