Manager Java React information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Manager Java React, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Manager Java React, you need expertise in Java and React.js development, a solid background in software engineering, and proven experience in leading technical teams. Familiarity with tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure), and Agile project management certifications is often required. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills help you guide teams and collaborate with stakeholders effectively. These skills ensure the delivery of robust, scalable applications and foster high-performing, motivated development teams.

How does a Manager Java React typically balance hands-on technical work with team leadership responsibilities?

As a Manager Java React, you'll often split your time between technical tasks—such as code reviews, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting—and leadership duties like mentoring developers, managing project timelines, and stakeholder communication. While you may still contribute code, your primary focus shifts toward enabling your team’s success, ensuring best practices, and facilitating collaboration between frontend and backend engineers. Balancing these responsibilities requires strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to shifting project priorities. Regular stand-ups, one-on-ones, and cross-functional meetings are common tools to maintain alignment and productivity.

What are Manager Java React roles?

A Manager Java React is responsible for leading teams that develop web applications using Java for the backend and React for the frontend. They oversee project planning, code quality, and the integration of both technologies to deliver scalable solutions. In addition to technical expertise, they manage team performance, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Their role combines leadership, technical oversight, and strategic planning in software development.

This role focuses on building cloud‐native services and user experiences, system integration, and production support in an agile environment, enabling high‐volume payment origination, processing, disbursement, and settlement capabilities. The ideal candidate brings strong hands‐on experience with Java (e.g., Spring/Spring Boot), designing and implementing secure APIs (REST; familiarity with API management such as Apigee/API Gateway), and building web applications using React, while collaborating closely with product, business, and enterprise IT partners. • Design, build, and maintain highly available, event‐driven payment systems on GCP
  • Develop serverless and container‐based solutions using Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and GKE
  • Develop and maintain back‐end services using Java (e.g., Spring Boot), including performance tuning and resiliency patterns
  • Design, build, and version RESTful APIs, including contract-first design, documentation, and integration testing
  • Build and enhance web user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript practices
  • Implement messaging and event processing using Pub/Sub
  • Build and manage data storage using Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), BigQuery, and Firestore
  • Design and expose APIs using Apigee or API Gateway with secure authentication and authorization
  • Implement identity and access management using GCP IAM, Workload Identity, and Identity Platform
  • Configure networking using VPC, subnets, firewall rules, load balancers, and private service access
  • Monitor and troubleshoot applications using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Error Reporting, and Trace
  • Implement security capabilities including Security Command Center, audit logging, and threat detection
  • Automate infrastructure using Terraform and GCP Deployment Manager
  • Enable CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and Git‐based repositories
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Produce technical designs, estimates, and documentation aligned with SDLC standards
  • Participate in incidents, problems, and change management processes using ServiceNow
  • Support production systems, including participating in on‐call rotation with the team
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, security policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
Basic Qualifications
  • 9+ years of experience in software engineering or IS technical roles
  • 3+ years of hands‐on experience developing and supporting cloud‐native applications on GCP
  • Strong proficiency in Java (Spring/Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript (React)
  • Experience building and supporting secure RESTful APIs and asynchronous, event‐driven integrations (OAuth2/OIDC or similar authentication approaches preferred)
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL data stores
  • Hands‐on experience with:
    • Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, or GKE
    • Pub/Sub messaging
    • Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Firestore

  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Datadog
  • Exposure to AI‐assisted development or automation tools
