Job Title:Payroll Coordinator at Metro ElevatorLocation: 265 High Street, Fl 6, Morgantown, WV 26505 - This is primarily an in-office role, but hybrid flexibility is possible after training and demonstrated proficiency.Overview:At Metro Elevator, payroll is more than just processing numbers-it's about ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and with confidence. We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations across multiple divisions and states while providing exceptional service to employees and local office administrators.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, maintaining accuracy, solving problems, and supporting employees through payroll and HR-related processes. The Payroll Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting benefits administration, and helping ensure a positive employee experience.Employment Status/Expectations:Full TimeKey Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):Payroll ProcessingSupport process of semi-monthly payrolls for non-union Metro Elevator employees using the iSolved payroll system.Support the process of weekly union payrolls for assigned divisions until local administrators are trained and fully onboarded.Maintain accurate payroll records in iSolved and the ERP system for all Metro Elevator entities.Assist with employment changes (new hires, terminations, promotions, pay rate updates, transfers) in a timely and accurate manner.Compliance & ReportingAssist with payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements.Support the processing of garnishments, tax levies, unemployment claims, and other payroll-related notices.Maintain payroll documentation and records in accordance with federal and state regulations.Generate and distribute payroll reports as required.Benefits & 401k AdministrationAssist with non-union employee 401k enrollment and updates in iSolved payroll system, including new deferrals and contribution processing.Assist with the processing of union benefits and vacation accruals until office managers assume responsibility.Hiring, Onboarding & TrainingAssist with new job postingsAssist with enrolling applicants in pre-employment screeningsAssist with supply procurementQualifications / What We're Looking For:Experience supporting payroll, ideally in a multi-state and/or unionized environment.Working knowledge of payroll compliance, garnishments, benefits, and 401k administration.Proficiency with payroll systems (iSolved preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy-takes pride in "getting it right" every time.Strong communication skills; able to clearly explain payroll matters to both employees and leadership.Comfortable working in a small hr/payroll department while collaborating across divisions.High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee and company information.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Compensation and Benefits:Salary commensurate with qualificationsHealth, dental and vision insurancePaid time off401k plan with employer matching contributionEqual Opportunity Employer:Metro Elevator is committed to providing reasonable accommodation as an Equal Opportunity Employer to applicants with disabilities.
